This Week The Trend (Issue 44)
💡
This Week The Trend newsletter consists of me selecting three products worth buying at different price points. Each product is given a Value Score—based on price and function—and then one is crowned the winner at the end. Affiliate links may be used.

This week, the trend is all about products that work well for travel. From a travel bag to multiple power adapters with compact sizes, these products can make the journey a little nicer. Beyond the main three picks, there are also Memorial Day sales happening now. Those are below at the bottom.

How I’d spend $500: Bellroy Transit Travel Pack Pro

The Bellroy Transit Travel Pack Pro is a one-stop backpack for any kind of trip. It can be your personal carry-on for a plane or a full suitcase for a few nights away. I find its organization ideal, with enough pockets to stash the important stuff, but not too many pockets. My favorite aspect of it is its expandability to go from 30L to 38L. It's a great way to pack a few more souvenirs.

Price: $319 (link)
Value Score: Poor

While the Transit Travel Pack Pro is a fantastic backpack, from design to comfort, it isn't the best value. If you're searching for the most economical travel bag, you'll want to avoid this one. However, if you'll be using it regularly, the niceties make the cost worth it in the long run. And this one should be in the running.

How I’d spend $150: Anker Prime Charger 160W

After discovering that the Anker Prime Charger 160W can display your own, personal photos as a screensaver, I'm in favor of more fun, whimsical features in the charging space. Of course, showing pictures isn't a reason to buy this power adapter. But its three ports, dynamic power delivery, and up to 140W from a single port are reasons to consider it.

Price: $105 (link)
Value Score: Fair

Right now, this power adapter is 30% off, down to $105. It's still a premium product, even at the lower price, but it's a much better value at its sale price.

How I’d spend $50: Ugreen Nexode Air 65W Charger

If you need a power adapter smaller and cheaper than the Anker Prime 160W, the new Ugreen Nexode Air 65W is a perfect choice. It doesn't have a screen or Bluetooth, but it's tiny enough to fit in any bag or most pockets. It's powerful enough to fast-charge some laptops and every iPhone. It's instantly become my go-to travel charger.

Price: $30 (link)
Value Score: Good

The Nexode Air 65W Charger retails for $40, but is on sale for $30 as a promotional price for its debut. If you commute or ever leave the house with a power adapter, then this will come in handy, saving space and weight.

The winning pick: Ugreen Nexode Air 65W Charger

Right now, with the price of the Nexode Air 65W Charger down to $30, this power adapter is a no-brainer. It comes in handy for outlets in tight spots. You also don't have to worry whether it will be powerful enough for whatever device you have, even a Nintendo Switch or MacBook Air.

Are you looking for even more picks this week? Here are a few things worth considering.

An expensive pick: Sony 1000X The Collexion

Sony's latest over-the-ear wireless headphones celebrate 10 years of the company's 1000X headphone line with a new special edition. To do this, The Collexion prioritizes sound, comfort, and fashion over keeping the cost down. With audio products, it's easy to debate the finer details, but I have found these to be among the most comfortable wireless headphones out there, while sounding fantastic.

Price: $650 (link)
