This Week The Trend (Issue 51)
This week's picks include a portable freezer, cheap earbuds, and a Bluetooth flight adapter.
How I’d spend $500: BougeRV 43Q Portable Freezer

The BougeRV 43 Quart is the company's latest portable freezer. It's an electric cooler that can chill between -4℉ and 68℉ to keep food and drinks cold without needing ice. The 43-quart capacity can hold about 60 12-ounce cans. It has the whole package. There are two zones for independent control, a retractable handle, wheels, and wireless Bluetooth control to change the temperature from your phone. You will need to buy a battery separately if you want to roam free of an AC or DC outlet.
Value Score: Good
I haven't tried the latest BougeRV 43 Quart model yet, but I have used the company's other electric coolers—portable freezers. They're a good value, and this newest one looks even more capable. Anker's comparable EverFrost cooler is $699, but it does come with a battery for off-the-grid chilling.
How I’d spend $150: Nothing Ear 3(a)

If what you're looking for is fashionable ANC earbuds, then Nothing's newest budget earbuds should be among the first to consider. The case design has a few tweaks, including a new status light. But the most interesting features are the ability to clip up to 60 seconds of audio to share, and record phone calls. You can use the Ear 3(a) to record up to two hours of calls and then have them transcribed later in the Nothing app.
Value Score: Good
I need to spend more time with the Ear 3(a) to decide how I feel about the audio clipping feature. But for all the features these offer, the Ear 3(a) are still a good value, even if you don't use them for recording calls.
How I’d spend $50: Twelve South AirFly Pro

It's a terrible feeling to buy expensive wireless headphones and then get on an older plane that you can't connect them to the in-flight entertainment. The Twelve South AirFly Pro can solve that by adding a Bluetooth connection to nearly any 3.5mm input. The Pro version has a longer battery life than other AirFly models. It also works as a transmitter in addition to being a receiver. It's small and easy to carry in a travel bag.
Value Score: Good
The AirFly Pro is on sale now, down from $55. While there's a cheaper SE model that retails for $35, I think the Pro model at $40 is an ideal value of features and price.
The winning pick: BougeRV 43 Quart
Summer isn't over yet. A portable freezer is a convenient way to carry food for a road trip or camping. But even beyond that use, having an electric cooler for drinks at a party makes digging through ice a thing of the past.
Are you looking for even more picks this week? Here are a few things worth considering.
An expensive pick: Bang & Olufsen H100

There are premium wireless headphones, and then there are the Bang & Olufsen H100. These feature lamb skin leather, glass, and all the finest materials. They also have all the basics like 32 hours of listening time with ANC on, Hi-Res audio, and auto-pause when taking them off. I've been testing these recently, and the ANC performance is fantastic. I've been loving everything about these headphones except the price. But if money isn't a concern, then these should be a consideration.
