This week's picks are a tiny flash drive, iPad case, and toiletry bag.

This Week The Trend newsletter consists of me selecting three products worth buying at different price points. Each product is given a Value Score—based on price and function—and then one is crowned the winner at the end. Affiliate links may be used.

How I’d spend $500: Sandisk Extreme Fit flash drive (1TB)

In the world of technology, smaller is cooler. In that case, the newest line of Sandisk Extreme Fit flash drives is super cool. These tiny USB-C storage solutions come in various sizes, from 128GB to 1TB. Even the 1TB (1,000GB) size might not be taller than the side of a laptop it's being plugged into. But this will also work on tablets and phones. It features a 400MBps I/O transfer speed.

Price: $219 (link)
Value Score: Fair

You can find flash drives in a bigger physical size for less money, but part of what you're paying for is the petite size. Similarly, you're paying for the Sandisk name and reliability that comes with it, versus no-name brands.

How I’d spend $150: Orbitkey 2-in-1 Toiletry Pouch

One of Orbitkey's latest travel and organization products is the 2-in-1 Toiletry Pouch. The name is obvious as it contains two pouches, the smaller of which fits inside the larger one. Both are relatively compact, but still roomy enough for all your bathroom needs. The smaller of the two features a hook for hanging. I've been using this for a few trips. I love the material, and the organization is well-placed.

Price: $79 (link)
Value Score: Poor

The 2-in-1 Toiletry Pouch isn't the best value on the surface. There are plenty of fine, cheaper options. The thing that makes it easier to swallow is how flexible this solution is. You can easily size up or down between the two pouches, using either one or both. This will cover an overnight trip as well as it will a two-week getaway.

How I’d spend $50: Belkin Lilypad iPad Case

If you want to be a hero to a young child in your home, the new Lilypad iPad case from Toy Story 5 might be the way to achieve that. Belkin collaborated with Disney to create this product that perfectly matches the on-screen character. The foam is thick and padded, and Belkin claims it's kid-proof. There's a grab handle and a folding stand on the back.

Price: $50 (link)
Value Score: Fair

Most iPad cases cost a premium, so the $49.99 retail price isn't comparatively outrageous. I've used the case. It seems protective enough for kids. Plus, it's just fun. It's available exclusively through Walmart until June 1st, then it will be in other stores, including Amazon.

The winning pick: Orbitkey 2-in-1 Toiletry Pouch

A good, premium toiletry pouch is key to good packing and making the most of a trip. If the $79 2-in-1 option is a little steep, Orbitkey sells both parts separately, too. The smaller of which sells for $45.

Are you looking for even more picks this week? Here are a few things worth considering.

An expensive pick: InkPoster Tela (28.5-inch)

If you can't decide on which piece of art to hang in your home and spend your money on, then you might be a candidate for the InkPoster Tela. This digital frame features a 28.5-inch color E Ink screen, which you can instantly send works of art to or upload your own photos. The price is steep, but I've gone hands-on with it, and it's performed wonderfully. It might make a good work-related purchase for your office.

Price: $2,400 (link)

Media pick: Spider-Noir

While I wasn't particularly looking for a new superhero show, Spider-Noir has a lot of compelling aspects. It comes from the people behind Into the Spider-Verse and Project Hail Mary. It also stars an older Nicholas Cage as an alternate universe Spider-Man. On top of those things, the whole show can be watched in color or black and white.
