How to see Apple Music's new upcoming section
Despite lots of artists encouraging fans to pre-save albums before they're released, Apple Music hasn't done a great job of highlighting music that's coming soon. You might want to pre-save an album so you can get a notification when it becomes available. After it's saved to your library, you can forget about it until it shows up.
If you're meticulous and scroll to the bottom of the New tab of Apple Music, you can see a section titled Coming Soon. This has just been a blob of all music, regardless of its release date. Also, I'm betting that most people don't scroll that far down and know about this.
Well, now, a new section has been added to the app, across iPhone, Mac, and iPad, that will show a more detailed view of upcoming music.
In the Apple Music app on iOS and iPadOS, tap the search icon along the bottom row. Select the Coming Soon icon among the other categories.
This will show the Top Pre-Adds, Coming This Week, Coming Next Week, and Our Editors' Picks.
In Apple Music on the Mac, you can click the search box on the left side of the app. These categories will show up in the main window. You should see Coming Soon as one of the options.
